Aqua fitness at Splash Swim Soar

Aqua Fitness

Aqua Fitness is a dynamic fusion of cardiovascular and strength-training exercises ingeniously harnessing the resistance of water. This unique workout regimen not only sculpts and strengthens muscles but also enhances overall balance and stability, both in aquatic environments and on land.

Engaging in Aqua Fitness can significantly boost endurance, elevate your fitness level, promote heart health, and foster a profound sense of well-being in mind, body, and soul. The buoyancy of water cradles the body, reducing stress on joints and muscles, while the mitigated effects of gravity open doors to enhanced flexibility and a broader range of motion.

Utilising aquatic equipment such as noodles, aqua barbells, and balls can enhance your workout through their unique form and structure. These tools leverage the resistant properties of the water which elevates the intensity of your workout. Ranging in size and inflation we have something to suit everyone, alternatively, if you would like to work at a lower pace the water is all you need to still obtain health benefits.

Our Aqua Fitness classes cater to individuals aged 14 and up, accommodating various fitness levels. Here, you can set your own pace, making it an inclusive and adaptable fitness experience for everyone!

Aqua Yoga

Aqua Yoga seamlessly translates traditional land-based yoga practices into the tranquil embrace of water. Postures that are typically performed on a yoga mat have been adapted to the aquatic environment, creating a harmonious fusion of yoga and water.

Aqua Yoga offers a multitude of benefits, including enhanced balance and heightened body awareness. It fosters an increase in flexibility and strength, achieved through a balanced engagement of muscles. Furthermore, it serves as a powerful tool for alleviating pain and reducing stress, nurturing harmony within the realms of the mind, body, and spirit.

To aid in your practice, various props such as noodles, aqua barbells, and balls are utilised, providing invaluable support in a wide range of postures. The core of Aqua Yoga revolves around self-focus and self-improvement. It is about you and how your body feels in time and space.

Another important feature of Aqua Yoga is the incorporation of breath work, where movements harmoniously synchronize with the rhythm of your breath. Various mindful breathing practices effectively calm the mind and relaxes the body, leaving you in a state of blissful serenity.
